Eight youths from the Wausau Area are fundraising for the World Youth Day:Madrid, Spain 2011.

What is WYD? It is a world-wide youth-oriented Catholic Church event started by Pope John Paul II in 1985. Faith-based workshops, cultural events, overnight Papal Adoration vigil and Papal Mass are just a few events that are held.

These youth have been fundraising since the last WYD in Sydney, Australia 2008, after hearing about experiences from those who had gone.

What we need is help, in the form of donations, sponsorships, and prayers. We are now half way to raising the $300,000 for the youth and chaporones. We would appreciate your donation and prayers.
